About Me
Welcome! I’m Becky Alvarez, LICSW and I’m a therapist that works with folks at the intersection of queerness, neurodivergence, and body acceptance. Many of my clients self-identify as fat (we love all bodies here!) and are either self-diagnosed, late diagnosed, or undiagnosed with ADHD, autism, AUDHD or other neurodivergent conditions. I believe that the learning and growth that happens in therapy comes from the experience of being seen and heard, and the relationship built with the therapist as a partner on the path to healing. Many people believe they are the only person who has been struggling with getting the dishes done or making new friends, but the truth is there are so many other people like you out here (hint: I’m one of them!)
I believe therapy should be a comfortable space where you can laugh, cry, swear, be sarcastic, be angry, be vulnerable, and be heard. If you are ready to get started, book your first session today.
Nantucket Island is land that belonged to the Wampanoag people, who once numbered in the thousands on this remote island. The Wampanoag people were forced out due to sickness and the encroachment of colonizers and the whaling industry. Today, nearly 40,000 Native American people reside in the state of MA.
